For our shots, that was one of the days I just didn\u2019t want to see. But as quick and fast as they were, she didn\u2019t have a chance to really respond to what she had done to her. She was fine! She cried a little bit, but after that she was like \u201cthis is it?\u201d<\/p>\n

Keyomi Lewis: <\/strong><\/p>\n

Just like when she came in for her 4 year old checkup, they sat down and explained to her what they was getting ready to do. They didn\u2019t just come in and stick her. You know, she was already terrified of coming and she was getting more comfortable, but just having the staff, whether its him or the nurses or whoever, come in and say, \u201cHey baby, this is what we are going to do. This is what this is for.\u201d It means a lot because she\u2019s asking questions too. And if they just come in and stick her…<\/p>\n

CJ Lewis:<\/strong><\/p>\n

They coached her up real good. They made her feel comfortable, real comfortable. That’s hard for her because she is off the walls. She doesn\u2019t open up to nobody. But she comes here and feels comfortable and she takes a pen here and there.<\/p>\n

Ronnie Wilson: <\/strong><\/p>\n

Well, should I infer then, from everything that you\u2019ve said, that for your next eleven children that you have, you\u2019re going to bring to Chapin Pediatrics?<\/p>\n

CJ Lewis: <\/strong><\/p>\n

If I can come here, if I can just turn the hands back, I would definitely like to be here, because I really think that they’re the best. I\u2019ve been to a lot of doctors, but I come here with a cough and he\u2019s like \u201cAre you coughing too?\u201d So it\u2019s just that interaction and he also involves us, \u201cWell how you are feeling?\u201d Matter of fact, when, I think it was the flu, when she had the flu, come to find out, a couple of days later, guess what, I had the flu.<\/p>\n

Keyomi Lewis: <\/strong><\/p>\n

He had it too. And when we came in [Dr. Luke] was like, \u201cYou ain\u2019t looking to good daddy, wait a minute, you need to be checked out.\u201d<\/p>\n

CJ Lewis: <\/strong><\/p>\n

That’s one of the things, I was like, well if the doctor sees me not looking my best, but at the same time I\u2019m here for my daughter and he\u2019s concerned about me. Well he has not only my daughters best interests at heart, but he also has ours. He wants to know our history also, what’s going on with us. It\u2019s awesome, hands down!<\/p>\n

This practice is a one of a kind, isn\u2019t it?<\/p>\n

CJ Lewis: <\/strong><\/p>\n

And Luke is a one of a kind?<\/p>\n

She\u2019s seen Luke and Dr. Shealy all since birth. Well, since Luke came here, Dr. Shealy was here when she first came.<\/p>\n

CJ Lewis: <\/strong><\/p>\n

I think Dr. Shealy, we, yeah…<\/p>\n

Keyomi Lewis: <\/strong><\/p>\n

I think she\u2019s seen him first.<\/p>\n

CJ Lewis: <\/strong><\/p>\n

Because I think it was something going on, I can\u2019t remember…<\/p>\n

Precheck… She had just come from the hospital.<\/p>\n

CJ Lewis: <\/strong><\/p>\n

Something like that… and it was the same situation. You know it\u2019s normally on the same level, but we went down and to the back and I was like, “Where are we going?” It\u2019s not normal. And then at the same time it was the same situation. You know the care factor was the same. It was like different person, same situation.
