Exciting News: Nurse Practitioner Julie Edwards is Joining Our Practice!

Julie D. Edwards, NP

Julie is a board certified family nurse practitioner who grew up in Little Mountain, South Carolina, and graduated from Mid-Carolina High School. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Lander University. Her nursing career includes ten years with Palmetto Richland Children’s Hospital, followed by nine years of school health nursing with Lexington Richland School District 5. Julie was an emergency department nurse at Lexington Medical Center while attending the University of South Carolina. Her Master of Nursing health science curriculum included a focus in both family and pediatric practice – and for the past six years, she was a primary care provider with Lexington Family Practice in Ballentine.

Julie and her husband David have resided in Chapin for the past 25 years. Currently empty-nesters with one spoiled chocolate lab, they are the parents of Casey, Justin, and Chandler. David and Julie’s shared passion for youth ministry has kept them busy as volunteers with area church youth groups for more than 20 years. They are members of Chapin United Methodist Church.

Julie considers her current move to Chapin Pediatrics as an exciting opportunity that will allow her to bring her experiences, passions, and skills to the pediatric population while serving in a Christian based practice in her community.
