Ronnie Wilson:

You have mentioned a couple of times the fact that you’re a believer, that you’re a follower of Christ. Why is that so important to you, and why is it at the spine of your practice? … not just the physical care of children but you’ve already alluded to the fact that you care about their emotional development and even you said their spiritual development; why is it that that is so much at the core of you guys practice?

Dr. Luke Bonnett:

So at the beginning, the inception of this practice over a decade ago, I felt compelled to start a practice that I would be able to have autonomy to practice the way that I saw as the best way to practice … and that would be according to firm guidelines – firm principles – that, for me as a Christian, those are Christian principles and it’s at the hallmark of who we are. Even in our mission statement [we] seek to provide excellent healthcare with Christian principles of compassion, integrity, and service. Regarding compassion, in Matthew 22, Jesus tells us when pressed as to what the greatest commandment was – and he said it was to love God with all your heart, soul, and mind but a second like it: to love your neighbor as yourself and that is one principle that is paramount in my life and in the life of this practice … that we seek to show compassion in that way: that we’re loving people, loving people unconditionally. We have all sorts of people who walk through our doors and these folks are coming here for healthcare and they’re getting that and they’re getting excellent healthcare – but we’re loving these people and were encouraging these people. And I can’t do that absent Christ; I can’t do that absent what God has done in and through my life through Christ – and so I use that as my example. And we understand full well that people will come here who don’t share those same beliefs and that’s okay – we’re still serving them with those principles that really can’t be questioned … and they’ll feel that and they’ll sense that as they allow us the privilege of taking care of their children.

Ronnie Wilson:

Awesome, that’s awesome.
