Some of Our Chapin Pediatrics Staffers Discuss Our "Coming Soon" New Office Building - Opens JUNE 25th!!

Transcript Below:

Lindsey Huffstetler: More space for us, of course – more storage for us as well. More exam rooms so we can get patients back a little bit quicker and hopefully get them in and out a little bit quicker. We’re pretty good at doing that now with the space that we have but we’re limited with two doctors sharing part of the office during the day. A lot more technology in the office – so looking forward to that transition as well.

Sam Murden: Oh my goodness, I’m so excited! It’s going to be so great; it’s going to have so much space. And we are all going to be together – because right now we are in two different parts of the building. So, working side by side with everybody, I really think will be even better. The flow will go a little bit better, I think patients will be happier, and patients parents will be happier: nicer facility obviously, bigger waiting rooms, separate waiting rooms — EVERYTHING!!, I’m just so excited, I cannot wait to get in. It’s going to be so great.

Courtney Burns: I definitely think it’s going to help the practice just because we are going to have space to help people. I think it will help the community because – like on busy days – our waiting room is full and so they will have more room, they won’t be on top of each other. And in here we’ll be able to work more efficiently because we’ll have more space to move around and do our thing and get stuff done.

Carrie Harmon: I think it will help with organization; we will have a little bit more space but I think we’ve all kinda grown accustomed to being so close together – it will be a little bit different. But I do think the larger space is going to be better for our patients as far as less wait time; we will have more rooms available and things like that. So this is a very exciting change.

Erin Kelly: I think, from a clinical perspective – like I just mentioned – we kind of all help each other and so there’s really no distinction of care teams. And I believe, with the new building, we will be setup in different pods for each provider and the care teams will be more distinguished – and the families will grow to learn, “Okay this nurse is with him, this nurse is with her,” that kind of thing. And it’s more of a continuity thing – so they’re used to that person, they’re used to seeing that person. I feel like, the more spread out we are and the more room that we have, it’s going to be easier on patient flow really to so I think that will be good.

Sam Murden: Obviously this is an old building; there’s nothing wrong with this old building but, with the new building, obviously the rooms will be a little nicer, newer, larger. I mean you can’t complain about a new building and all new scales … I mean just the most basic things: I’m just looking at things around the room, stethoscopes, I mean just random stuff. They’ll notice and they’ll appreciate it; I mean you can only do that. And hopefully with having the bigger building, a new provider possibly will be brought in so even more chance of easier turn around with getting in and getting out and getting taken care of faster. It’s only going to be positive stuff from here.
